Cee’s Photography Blog and her great challenges are keeping me busy! This latest post is in response to Cee’s picture (check it out!) and her challenge to pick a topic based on it.
The two things that jumped out at me were the red of the bin and the reflections of the the water and the window. So here is my topic.
London’s Regent Canal and Red Reflections
I was in London for my birthday with my sister and her family. They gave me a book on walks around London and this was one of them. What a lovely gift! a stroll along a picturesque canal.
The house boats were colourful in a literal and fanciful way. I loved the names, Temptress, Carmen and Disco Volanto !Some had pots of flowers. The pops of red link to Cee’s red bin. The boats are squarish in shape and lined up like the bins too. It had been raining that day so it was a little grey. I took the photos in vivid mode as it made the colours stand out. After the rain stopped it was still and there were reflections.

Thank you, I used the vivid function on my camera. It is great for bringing out the primary colours especially on a gray day. The greenery can appear a bit over exposed at times though.
