Broken Down Truck
A break down of the mechanical kind, in the middle of nowhere but oh my goodness what a spectacular middle of nowhere!
We were on our way to our campsite in Spitzkop, Namibia. The truck broke down, but hey we had some capable mechanics on board, we were in no rush, we had food, water and camping gear so no worries there.
The landscape was so vast you felt you could see the curvature of the earth. What’s more were got to enjoy the amazing changing light and sunset before cranking the beast up and making our campsite.
Life was a wonderful holiday and all was good!
Photos taken 2007 on African overland Safari trip from Zambia, Victoria Falls, Botswana, Namibia and finishing in South Africa, Cape Town.

Yes! It was. Covered some great ground, very diverse, game parks and viewing, desert, Victoria falls, Canyons and some wonderful towns and cities. A 3 week overlander. Some people had done 8 weeks plus from Egypt all the way down to Cape town. The 3 weeks in the truck was just about right for me!
