Yesterday I received a lovely surprise all the way from England. My good friend, her wonderful husband and children, who are my sweet godchildren sent me the most glorious silver pen.
It is beautiful to look at, heavy and luxurious to hold. It makes me want to write! I woke up this morning in anticipation of using my new treasure to attempt today’s Writing 101 Task. My task, to tell a story from a single image. Here are the results of my scribbles with my glorious pen in Haiku form.
Balmy Summer night
Humanity blurring by
Relax, observe, be
Sunrise, new day born
Possibilities abound
Jump, laugh, celebrate
Destination, yes
Destiny mapped out, no way
Choose your own life path
Narrow attic mind
Window closed shut to wonders
Unlatch, open, soar
Yoroshiku Onegai shimasu
Leanne
Nice post!

I almost signed up, too, but I’ve got too many things going on right now, so next time. I did the blogging course, though, since you recommended it (the 201 one, though). Hope you enjoy your writing course! 🙂

How was 201? Enjoying it so far! But you should only do it when you feel you have the time! They do them regularly so no biggy

Yeah, it seemed like it needed some concentration. Haikus fit you blog well, Japan and all. 201 was good for feedback and advice. I’m also looking out for a photo course 🙂

Great Haiko! I particularly like the first one, and the second.
And the third and fourth, come to that. They suggest a positive outlook on life.

Lovely shots and haiku. It’s a form I love (and struggle to write) so it’s so enjoyable to read yours.

Thank you. Can’t lay claim to the shots they were straight from the task as offered by Writing 101 but they did provide great inspiration!
Funny I was thinking of you today, Maybe your ears were burning. I was re reading a post I did on Inspiration as part of Blogging 101. You were my inspiration for that one! I still haven’t done the supermarket post I promised you. Am saving that one for a day that nothing comes to mind!

No hurry! It’s good to have rainy day ideas. Given the amount of rain we’re having, I should be bursting with ideas 🙂

Thanks TJ I hope it is ok if I leave the invite off until after the course! I am looking for a new weekly challenge as one of my long running favourites finished up last week.

Absolutely! No pressure at all. I enjoy the haiku challenges as they give you a chance to compose without spending huge amounts of time creating them. Looking forward to keeping in touch. 🙂
