Killed by a bullet but not shot – Cee’s Oddball Photo Challenge #41

In the land of high rises and high speed trains, images of Bambi are not usually the first thing that come to mind.

This train announcement made me look twice. The use of the word antelope seems a little strange, I suspect it was  a deer rather than some bounding African species and as an actual cause, I have to say it is the first time I have seen it.

While this incident was most likely instant death for the poor deer , could have caused injury to the passengers and let alone the shock the poor driver must have incurred there is a certain black humourous irony that struck me ( no pun intended).

In Japan, gun laws are tight. Very few people own guns and hunting is not a common pastime.Yet this poor deer was killed by a bullet ………….,  a bullet train.

Only in Japan!
