Santa Barbara, Ojai and Solvang
I spent several days with my wonderful friends, the Roses in California. We met on a former trip when we volunteered together in Vietnam on a Habitat for Humanity build.
They showed me around Santa Barbara. We did a day trip to Ojai, a spa town and Solvang a small town with a Danish heritage.
California has a string of Mission towns stretching the coast. These where founded by the Spanish Franciscan Monks from 1769. There are 21 in total. The Spanish architecture is striking

Solvang
Solvang had a very different look compared to the Spanish colonial Califorian stlye towns I had visited. It is very quaint and European. The Danish pastries were delicious!

Nice ones. That third one is my fave just because of the weathered look it has.
