Being a big fan of several Photo Challenges, I am now hosting one myself. I would love it if you could take part! This is the 32nd week to date. Please click here for the challenge outline. Please post a link to your post on this page and I will make sure I put it on my challenge page for others to see too!
I look forward to checking out your posts!
So without further adieu here is my 32nd trinket
Tui
Today’s post is a little later than usual because I was on a plane all day yesterday, flying from Christchurch back to Tokyo.
I have just got back and already feeling a little homesick! I left a lovely NZ summer. This trinket is a silhouette of one out our famous native birds the Tui. It was a leaving gift from dear friends and colleagues. I get joy from it every day! I used it in a prior post so rather that wax lyrical, I will share the link and hope you enjoy reading about New Zealand Natives

What a neat silhouette! Now I have to see that the real bird looks like. My trinket is an art piece from Alaska… http://teri-gonewalkabout2.blogspot.com/2016/01/trinkets-native-alaskan-art.html

Thanks Teri. I think you can find a picture of the Tui in the links in the Nihongo Japango post? or better yet good old google!

If it’s any consolation; the weather here has turned to custard again.

Thanks, Was fine, not too many lessons and first lesson back always on file as it is about New Year’s resolutions! Monday to and a public holiday so have had two days off. Though I have guests, a 13 year old and 18 year, my friend’s lovely kids over from NZ so we are off to a cat cafe today. The 13 year old is cat mad!

Sounds like fun. I heard there was a cat cafe somewhere in Auckland now. Will have to check it out sometime. 🙂

We got there but it is a public holiday and there was about a 3hour plus wait to get in! We have a reservation for Thursday! It will be much less crowded as a normal weekday!
