My bungalow door on Ometepe, Nicaragua
Nicaragua was country number 2 in my Central America adventure. The first point of call was Ometepe Island which is famous for the 2 conical volcanoes rising to form the island in the middle of a large lake. Again most of my time was spent outside, swimming, horse riding and exploring archeological ruins. The door to my bungalow was welcome at the end of a busy day, a peaceful refuge to come home to. It was also a delight to step out of in the evening as the sunset over the lake was stunning.

How relaxing and serene it must have been, looking over the sunset.

Wow — two very different kinds of beauty; the home kind and the cosmic kind. Wonderful post!

Thanks Lynz. It was a beautiful place! I have fond memories of the wonderful vistas, swimming in an incredibly clear fresh water spring and not so fond memories of very stiff muscles in all the wrong places after horse riding! Note to oneself, horse riding is not my thing!
