After Tikal, I headed to Caye Caulker in Belize, Playa del Carmen and Chichen Itza in Mexico. Looking back through those photos there are no doors, beautiful Carribean seas and beaches and fantastic Mayan ruins but no doors!
So with that in mind, let’s hop on a plane and head to Havana, Cuba. People sit in doorways making music or watching the world go by. Many of the doorways are grand, a symbol of the grandeur that once was Havana but is now crumbling.
I wonder how things will change now that the doors of diplomacy have opened between the States and Cuba. I hope the people retain their warmth and welcoming nature and things don’t become too commercialised and worldly wise. There was a simplicity about life and a love for it. I hope Cuba maintains its identity and holds it own in this new era.

❤ ❤ ❤ Excellent. I'd wonder about my sanity if I ever went there on a visit: I'd be unable to stop clicking!

Thank you. I wonder how much Cuba will change now the doors are open. I am off to the Galapolas Islands, Easter islands and the mainland south America in Dec Jan! looking forward to it. I used your Riding the wave of hope post as inspiration for #151 on you inspire me. Please check it out. I have linked it back to you. It might be #152?

My gaze is caught by the beautiful yellows, a color I love but that doesn’t love me, at least close to my skin. So cheerful!

You would love it. Music is everywhere and they love to dance. Very social. I hope the atmosphere doesn’t change to much as politics change.

Wonderful photos. I suppose the old classic cars will gradually disappear from the streets.

Yes I suspect, many American car enthusiasts will be willing to pay what will seem like alot of money to the Cubans and they will be snapped up!
