This post was inspired by Cee’s Flower of the day posts and her kind invitation to add a floral link to her post. Thank you!
Kew Gardens – Richmond, London 21st August 2011
- Sunflower – so bright , beautiful and simple with a tiny bee doing the important job of gathering pollen.
- The Japanese Garden – Makes me smile because I had no idea before the year was out I would resign my job and move back to Japan after 14 or so years away.
- Hydrangeas – reminds me of my Grandmother’s garden and her kitchen window
And it is a great big bunch of flowers to myself because this is my 100th post! Whooo Hooooooo!

Since coming to Japan I have a new appreciation for them. The season is coming up and there are some amazing places to go and see mass plantings and so many varieties.

Yes aren’t they fabulous! Nature’s equivalent of litmus paper for testing for acidic soil or alkaline. Acidic soil produces pink ones and alkaline the blue ones apparently
